Afghan canine rescue team dismayed by CDC rabies ban

Farthing was bringing two dogs rescued by US troops in Afghanistan to their new properties in the United States. From Houston, he was scheduled to push to Memphis, Tennessee, to fall off a single pet, whilst the second was headed to Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Appeal to help ‘morbidly obese’ collie dog double the weight he should be

A fundraising appeal has been launched to help a ‘morbidly obese’ collie dog – who arrived at a Bristol animal sanctuary nearly double the weight he should be.

Benny and Ebony arrived at Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary in Barrow Gurney after their owner died.

Without any family to take them on, the pair arrived at the sanctuary last month.

Due to their weight the pair had fallen into a bad state, with staff at the sanctuary rushing them both to the vets.

Ebony, 16, who was also blind in one eye, was so heavy at 46 kgs she was unable to get up unassisted and had been spending many of her days splayed out on the floor.

Due to their size, both were also suffering with calluses from bearing the pressure of their weight whilst lying down.

Chanco, Percy and Wally aren’t just “roommates.” Rescued from unsafe living environments, these three pigs eat, sleep and play alongside their caretaker Aska Langman, founder of Aska’s Animals Foundation, a nonprofit committed to temporary and long-term care for animals in need of rehoming.

Born and raised in New York City, Langman started surrounding herself with animals from a young age. Raising cats in her apartment, she had an inkling that animal care would be her life’s purpose.

“I found a way to be weird, a way to get wacky with animals even in the city,” Langman said.

Animal Shelter Throws Birthday Get together for 19-Year-Outdated Cat Without a Residence

An Ohio animal shelter has warmed hearts on social media after it threw a birthday bash for a 19-year-old cat in its treatment.

The shelter, the Cincinnati Animal Care Humane Modern society, shared pictures and online video footage of the celebration on its Fb web site on Tuesday, where it acquired hundreds of likes, opinions, and shares.

Photographs exhibit the cat, Sammy, outfitted in a checkered collar and glittery hat on his birthday.

His cage was embellished with bunting and a toy cake total with a candle.
