Couple’s pig sanctuary is hog heaven for abused, neglected swine | Winchester Star

CROSS JUNCTION — Nestled off Reynolds Road is a shaded area which is household to about 50 pigs, two horses, some ferrets, chickens and other types of animals.

All of these creatures have been at hazard of currently being killed or had been mistreated right before getting refuge at PIGGINS & Banks Pig and Animal Sanctuary.

The nonprofit was established by Christie and Aaron Riddle about a calendar year back on their 17-acre home in northern Frederick County. The Riddles wanted to start a pig sanctuary, and at the time Aaron Riddle adopted Mr. Piggy Financial institutions, a person of the nonprofit’s namesakes, they knew they had to make the thought a reality.
