Hiker reunited with puppy who ran off during bear assault in Alaska

A hiker whose 14-7 days-old border collie ran off through a harrowing bear attack in Alaska before this week has been reunited with his dog.

With the aid of several great Samaritans, Jason Umbriaco and his pooch Buckley were brought back again with each other two times immediately after their ordeal on the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska’s News Source reported.

“It was just a shock. I could not believe that it,” Umbriaco told the outlet.

Mom Bear Bites Hiker Twice Following Becoming Chased by His Pet Canine

An Alaska hiker was bitten two times by a mom bear above the weekend following his doggy started out to chase it.

The hiker, an grownup male, and his 13-month-outdated Border Collie dog have been strolling on the Kenai River Trail in Cooper Landing on Sunday.

The two then encountered a feminine brown bear and two cubs, at which place the hiker’s dog gave chase, according to an Alaska Division of Public Safety (DPS) assertion.
