Hiker reunited with puppy who ran off during bear assault in Alaska

A hiker whose 14-7 days-old border collie ran off through a harrowing bear attack in Alaska before this week has been reunited with his dog.

With the aid of several great Samaritans, Jason Umbriaco and his pooch Buckley were brought back again with each other two times immediately after their ordeal on the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska’s News Source reported.

“It was just a shock. I could not believe that it,” Umbriaco told the outlet.

“I experienced sort of offered up hope, and I was kind of producing preparations inside of to just transfer forward without him, and now it is like I’m gonna have people periods back again of just joy, and peace.”

Umbriaco, of Montana, was hospitalized soon after he was bitten two times by a brown bear while mountaineering on the Kenai River Path on Sunday evening.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — A Montana male was reunited with his 14-7 days-old border collie two days soon after the doggy disappeared following a bear attack on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula.

Jason Umbriaco was hospitalized following the brown bear with two cubs bit him twice Sunday, Alaska’s News Resource noted.

“It was just a shock. I could not believe that it,” Umbriaco claimed just after remaining reunited with Buckley. “I experienced sort of offered up hope, and I was sort of earning preparations inside of to just shift ahead without having him, and now it’s like I’m gonna have those situations again of just pleasure, and peace.”

The attack occurred in the Kenai Countrywide Wildlife Refuge, about 60 miles (97 kilometers) south of Anchorage, although he and Buckley were being climbing.
