GARDNER — A team of area pet house owners is organizing the best “dog day” of summer following month. 

Featuring canine-associated suppliers, training tips and the election of a new canine “mayor”, the Aug. 21 event will mark the 2nd anniversary of the opening of the Gardner Pet Park at Pulaski Playground on Charbonneau Street.

“I imagine the doggy park has develop into a major attraction in Gardner,” reported organizer Caitlin Hart, whose dog, Koda, has served as the 1st mayor of the park given that its ribbon-cutting ceremony in 2019. “It seriously just delivers people today with each other, and I have met so many unique individuals due to the fact of our puppies.”
