Emilee and Kevin Hanks 7-year-old Border Collie mix named Curry, died on Friday while in the care of Animal House, a grooming business in Jacksonville.

A Jacksonville family members is distraught about an incident on Friday that took the daily life of their 7-calendar year-aged Border Collie combine. 

Emilee and Kevin Hanks’ puppy Curry died although in the treatment of the grooming and boarding enterprise Animal Home, situated at 665 Bell Fork Highway in Jacksonville 

Facts of how Curry died are getting withheld while Onslow County Animal Services go on their investigation. But the division verified an arrest has been manufactured in the situation. 

Cherry Derr, 36, of Jacksonville, was arrested the exact same working day and billed with felony cruelty to animals. Derr, an worker of Animal Household, will be viewed in Onslow County District Courtroom on Sept. 7.

Onslow County Animal Services said video proof and veterinarian documentation led to Derr’s charge.
